We started our Saturday morning in Newport - at a cars & coffee event at one of the mansions. They allow any cars in - so unfortunately we have to look at nerdy cars that you can see at any car lot. People are so weird - power parking their sedans...
But the coffee is good
The company is great
the view of the mansions is spectacular
and there are a few cool cars sprinkled in to keep it interesting

This car did the Peking to Paris rally. Now that would be a fun & crazy trip! Our friend Bill also did this race (he lives in England)

The trees on this property were so big! They are native to Europe - so the original owner had them shipped over
We like to do the Ocean Drive whenever we come to Newport
Then we headed to Padanaram - our favorite MA coastal town
We had a late breakfast
and enjoyed walking around town
We have to walk through the Marina too :)
Bolts got excited watching some kids catch fish
We took the backroads home - we used to ride our bicycles on all these roads
