A trip south
Decided to drive to our Thanksgiving destination (Mom & Tony's) this year. Our dog, Toules, was happy as he came with us!
1st stop - George Washington bridge & NYC
Then a day in Baltimore!

We enjoyed our stay & can't wait to come back for a baseball game!
Next stop - Savannah! I have wanted to visit this town for a long time. We finally made it! And it did not disappoint! Industrial city combined with beautiful architecture.

We spent some time on Tybee Island - about 15 miles east of Savannah
Beautiful weather
I can't wait for a 'free' weekend where I can try paddle boarding! I snap pictures of anyone I see doing it.
Ahh, the signs of the south - palm trees!
Tybee also had an old fort that we visited
And a very cool lighthouse - so tall
Then to Savannah! River Street - loved it! It reminded of New Orleans - a clean New Orleans though :)
Lots of parks with the big oak trees & moss
and squares
And outside eating...

'Travelers' are common here too
We didn't eat here - but everyone wanted a photo of Paula Deen's restaurantBye Savannah - see you again
Next stop - Mom & Tony's in sunny FL! We love spending Thanksgiving with Liz & Tony. We always have a great time with many many many laughs. A good tradition we hope to continue for many years.
Florida Christmas tree :)
