Getting the sailboat ready for sailing!!

The other season that will soon be upon us is the sailing season!!  We don't plan to keep our boat for much longer, so we are anxious to start sailing!  Hope it's fair winds this year.

 Our boat is scheduled to be launched in early May!

Hot rod season is here - swap meet time!

Starting off the hot rod season with a swap meet.  Lots of friends; products; and hot rods.  The morning started off quite chilly, but ended up very nice.  Lots of sun which is always good!!

 We drove our new red pickup - it rode great!!

 A lot of people drove hot rods - everyone is anxious for the season!

 The swap meet was at an airport - and the planes (small ones) were flying in and out all day!

Another burn day!

We had another burn day - to clean up all the branches from the back yard.  It was a full day burn!

 We had some fun while the branches burned.

 This is finally empty - it had branches piled 6 feet high over the entire area.  So glad it's gone!!

Miscellaneous fun!

We had a nice dinner with my nephew and his girlfriend in Boston!

 Bolts enjoyed himself at doggie daycare while we were in FL!

 We came home to 2 snow storms in April - yuk!  One was big enough (6 inches) that we had to shovel a walkway.  Fortunately it melted in a couple days.

 I'm taking a sewing class where I plan to turn some old Tshirts into a blanket.

 It's more of a workshop than a class, so we'll see how much I actually learn and get done.

 We are painting a couple rooms - changing from gold to a blue gray

 Chris put some fun handles on our garage doors to give them some style!

Trip to FL!!

It's never a bad time to visit Florida!  We visited Chris' mom for Easter but Chris did have to spend a couple days visiting business customers.

The weather and scenery were lovely!

 We managed to make it to two car shows - our timing was perfect!

 Chris mom and her husband are building a  new home and it is coming along!  It's a beautiful home in a lovely area.

 We were able to take some nice walks.  So nice to be in Tshirt and shorts!!

 The second car show was in Tampa at the fairgrounds. 

 I didn't take too many photos this trip.  Just experienced it :)

 We also managed to do a quick trail race - 16 miles through a really beautiful forest. Yes, FL does have forests!   It's amazing how much we fit in!  It's always easier when it's warm and sunny!

Wedding shower fun!

Our friends son is getting married this summer and I was invited to their wedding shower!

 Lots of yummy food - and a couple games that weren't too horrible to play :)  Ashley's sisters did a great job!
