What I see through my window: Bristol harbor!

It's nice to be looking out of different windows again!  Our sailboat is happy to be back in the water!

Flowering Trees abound in our neighborhood

There used to be a cherry blossom tree in our front yard, but it had died and was removed before we even looked at the property.  There are plenty of other cherry trees in our neighborhood, so we aren't missing out.  They are so beautiful!

Plenty of American Flags flying too.
And this yellow flowering tree is so pretty too.  I'm not sure what it is - but it looks nice :)

Ice cream shops are open again!

Tis the season for clam shacks and ice cream shops!  They both have long lines.  We aren't fans of fried seafood, so we rarely go to a clam shack.  But we do love our ice cream!  We went at an off time, so there was only a couple other people hanging around.  The arrows are out though, so they are trying to make people social distance.

Before & After: from fluff ball to buzz ball

16!! weeks between appointments.  The above was about 15 weeks before.  By 16, he was a little too fluffy because it made him look messy.
Our groomer said he was a nightmare, the rotten stinker.  She always leaves his tail fluffy, but we trim it when he comes home.  He barely let us do that, but there was no way we were leaving him with a fluff ball as a tail :)

Moving Aeolus to Bristol

We stayed at NEB for a few days, but as soon as our mooring was ready, we left the marina and headed back to Bristol harbor.  It was a beautiful sunny day, with light wind, but still pretty chilly.

We only sailed with the jib  - keeping it simple and easy
Some military planes were out doing maneuvers

The bay was pretty quiet, but there were still a couple sailboats and a few motor boats

 Our new mooring home!
Cheers to starting another fun sailing season!

Chris gave Aeolus another good cleaning - although the pollen flying in the air still coats it pretty good, no matter how often you wash it.

What I see through my window: pets!

While we are airing out our boat cushions in the sunroom - Bolts & Bean decided to investigate them.  This was so cute - I had to take a picture :)

Flash Back Friday - San Diego Half Marathon

2002 - the day started out chilly but warmed up nicely.  It might have been our first half marathon race together...    It was slow going, but that's our theme :)  It's hard to beat running through San Diego and along their waterfront.

Cruising in the red pickup!

All of our hot rods need some TLC, and Chris has been busy at work, so it's taken a while to get out on the road.  But the red pick up is now ready & we were more than ready to go for a cruise!
It's finally starting to feel like spring - now that the sailboat has been launched & our hot rods are ready!

Downtown walk

We ventured out  from our neighborhood for a walk downtown.  It's been a while so Bolts had to sniff everything!!  They are fixing part of the waterfront.  Will probably take them all summer, when it should really only take a couple days...

It was nice to walk along the water again.

Sunny day, although the wind was rather chilly.

Downtown is still quiet and most stores have signage about Covid 19 restrictions.

Ahhh, it's nice to be back!
