Our sailboat is out of the water & all covered up for the winter!

 Our cover has 2 parts - one for the bow and one for the stern

 Looks nice & tidy.  See you in the spring!

Lake Compounce Swap Meet

A nice fall day - great day for a swap meet!!  We were up early and decided to go for a drive.

 

 There was quite a turnout

 We ran into a lot of friends, like Jim

 and Bill and Billy

 There had been a lot of rain, so puddles were everywhere!

 We didn't buy anything, but it was nice to see our friends and catch up

 Fall colors are starting to fade from the vibrant red, gold, and oranges, to the rusty browns and burgundy's.  Winter is coming :(

Yacht club update

They are busy working on the yacht club.  Cleaning and meeting with insurance people....  Lots to do, and it's looking like it will be a long process.  I'm glad we have a great community of people to work together on this though!

 

Chillin'

 We put up a few fall decorations - very few :)

 We debated about attending the Red Sox WS parade, but decided to stay home instead and watch it on TV

Winter is coming, so my posts will be fewer and fewer :)  We tend to do less to do in the winter (aka hibernate or ride the bike trainer, and that's not very post worthy :))

Dinner with friends

We met up with some yacht club friends for dinner at a local restaurant - Christians.  It was a good time as we usually only see these friends on the yacht club cruise.

 

 Bill's birthday - so we got some yummy treats to share!

Got Leaves?

Seems like we get more leaves every year - ugh.  It's just the start of the season, and our back yard (small as it is!) has So many leaves!  You can actually jump off the deck and land in a nice pile and not hurt yourself!

 

 So, today, me & Bolts picked some up.  Even knowing that tomorrow, there will be hundreds back again

 The trees are just beginning to change...

 It does look a lot better when the leaves are gone - and it will help dry out the back yard (until the rain comes tomorrow)

Hot Rod Shop

We are so happy to have this wonderful space!  Getting it filled up for winter storage.

 

 Chris added some curtains to help keep the welding dust localized.  He still needs to add a vent.  These curtains are pretty simple - we'll see how well they work

 He also bent some pipe so he could add curtains on the other side as well.

Rainy Saturday's are perfect for these types of projects!
