Daytona racing - day #2

early morning bike ride around the speedway - checking in on our friends at Kohr & Griffin

later in the morning, Chris took the mustang to Griffin to have some diagnostics run

there were 4 other groups racing that weekend as well.  Really only one group had a real race - the others (including Chris) were just having a track day (s) to exercise their cars

some rally big buses and trailers here!  So many Prevost buses, I lost count!

and ending with another night of 'racing' under the lights.  Chris loved it!

and they ended the night with fireworks!

 

Daytona racing

3 days of racing at Daytona!  We took Big Blue and the Mustang.  We arrived on a Thursday late afternoon

early dinner :)

just in time for a Space X launch - our 2nd - so cool!

Friday morning - getting ready to go!  It's been a while, since he's raced, so Chris planned to take an easy weekend and just work on getting back into the groove

5 sessions - 30 minutes at a time is a lot of driving after being off for almost a year

and the last session was under the lights - pretty cool!!

 

Bolts vet for itchy skin

 FL weather creates havoc with Bolts skin (and most dogs here), so we made an appointment to get some more pills that help keep the itchies at bay

lots of smells - he loves the vet (because they give him so many treats)

Yeah - squirrels still exist in 2023!

 

Starting the New Year off with a coffee :)

and a leisurely cruise home
