Car racing at Lime Rock - day 1

the drive to Lime Rock, CT was beautiful

we arrived around 1 pm, and of course there was a line to get in

it wasn't as bad as waiting in the line at Sebring raceway, so we were soon parking

Lime Rock park isn't fond of dogs, so Bolts was going to have a boring weekend, of just chilling in the motorhome (we did take him out for walks in the early mornings & evenings)

our spot was right on the track!

later that afternoon, we took a track walk.  It's a small track - only 1 mile and a half

Practice sailing race!

ahhh, nice to be back on the water in RI!!

practice race for the Wednesday night club racing.  Quite a few boats showed up.

the wind died on the last leg - Chris had to hold the boom back, as there wasn't enough wind to keep it there

we were all sitting ducks

so we took everything down and called it (only 1 boat out of 35 finished)

 beautiful evening

Mt Hope Bridge viewing walk

this beach walk has some pretty good views of Mt Hope bridge

and the lighthouse that we sail by quite frequently

lots of shells

like everywhere - new construction happening right here too.  I'm sure the beach walk days will be over soon, as the new people will complain about the fishermen, the dog walkers, etc

 

back to the office!

 in the office, or at home - my payroll job is pretty good!!

Maintenance on Big Blue - and Bolts walks :)

its been fun walking Bolts back in our neighborhood.  He's checking out all the 'news' he missed while away
 

and he met the new neighbor Kano, a 6 month old German Shepherd.  He wasn't very interested - too big and too young for him.  Even though the pup is well behaved.   Those terriers...
