Moving cars; driving cars; making car parts; and loading cars!

Our upstairs garage is full of hot rods again - moved up from the basement.  It's nice to have the '31 pickup home.  It's been at Chris' brother for many years.  But then he moved it to the basement garage and brought up the orange coupe.
 Lots of rearranging

We took a short ride in the '31

and now it's parked in the basement
Chris made a part for the '34 5 window coupe - an air cleaner
 It looks good!
Up stairs garage - newly arranged
We had some side curtains/windows made for the roadster
It's been loaded up and off to Reno for our next adventure!
And always - we put around in the red pickup

Bike ride

We met some friends for a bike ride - on the roads!  We rarely ride the roads anymore because of all the yahoos texting and driving (and hitting cyclists).  Our friends told us about a route that was pretty bike friendly so we thought we would give it a try.  It was a foggy morning.  We managed to bike 30 miles though, so it worked out well.  It's nice to have found the spot - there were some cars but not too many

Flowers!

We decided to get rid of the circle of flowers that the last owners planted. We weren't fond of the flowers planted and it was so challenging to maintain - the weeds just loved the spot.  I don't mind pulling weeds, but these were just too dense.
Ahhh, looks better already!  We like things simple and that circle was not!
Instead of grass seed we decided to buy sod.  Our last project with grass seed didn't go well, so we thought we would try something else

Now hopefully we can keep it green and get it settled before our next trip!
I took the opportunity to take pictures of all the flowers we still have in the yard.  They are blooming like crazy now

The ones below are the only ones we transplanted from the circle.  Hope they make it

Loving this summer sunshine!!!

Sailing with a friend!

We were going to go for a short sail one morning, but we ran into a friend and went out on his boat instead.  He needed someone to go up the mast, so I volunteered.  It was quite the view from up high, but I didn't take any photos bc I didn't want to lose my phone :)

It was a very pretty day, but we kept the sailing short as T storms were headed our way

Then we met up later for drinks (Dark & Stormy's)at his condo.  He lives on Hope St in Bristol and his condo is beautiful.
He has a nice view of the harbor.  The condo building used to be an old hotel, so the hallways and stairways  are beautiful

Races!

My niece Claire did her first half ironman!!  And she is still in college!  Serious dedication to get all that training completed.  And I know because I wrote her program :)  She raced in Benton Harbor, MI and the race consisted of a 1.2 mile swim; 56 mile bike; and a 13.1 mile run

And we ran a half marathon - held in Bristol so it was nice and close

We ran through downtown Bristol and then through Colt State Park.  It was a great route with nice views.
Our times aren't as fast as they used to be, but we finished!!

Bristol yacht club car show!

Social committee had their first car show at the yacht club!  Quite a few members had cars that they drove.  It was fun to have a different event.  I drove our red pick up and Chris drove our Woodie
 Judges!

Dinner too - once the car viewing was finished

And our Woodie won the Peoples choice award!
