Lunch with friends

Monique & Her husband were in town for 8 weeks - so we finally had time to meet up for lunch!  They tan a lot easier than I do ;)

back at Satchel's  - walking dogs.  Rio - a shitzhu with an attitude.  He likes to nip - loves to walk though - just don't tough him ;)

Ernie - also loves to walk - but same, also likes to bit strangers.  His mouth is a little bigger than Rio's too.  It would probably hurt!

Ernie likes to smell the flowers too.  He's a Lab mix

Little Chloe - hoping she gets adopted soon.  Sweet as pie - looks like a mini husky.  Her owner passed away.  She's deaf, but such a dear.  5 pounds of sweet

Turtle - now adopted - loves to walk too!

and then it was off to Trivia night

Satchels Last Resort - cat day

One thing I like about Satchel's is that you'll see the same cats more often than not, since this is a last resort (no kill shelter).  These kitties usually have issues and aren't as adoptable as others.  Of course, it's also sad that you see them more often as they aren't in a home.  But Satchel's does a great job, and these felines have a great room to play in.

the race - most of the main contenders didn't finish for one reason or another.   Our friend Billy got 3rd in his class - but not without some drama too.    Homeward bound!
