this cars and coffee has grown, so now they have a row of vendors

we met another Welsh Terrier - Bolts didn't care

then we took a drive and found a new Acai bowl place -

then back to the villa - and pool time!

 

Fort Myers for a day

Big Blue needed some light maintenance work - so we were up early to drive 'him' to Fort Myers

while we waited, we took a drive to the beach

Since Hurricane Ian - a lot of cleared lots, access to the beach is precarious

most of the buildings are either being demolished (most) or some are trying to rebuild

a lot of rubble still exists and many many many for sale signs (very expensive lots $2M for small)

a handful of food trucks are making a living - the beach goers are helping them survive

I think most don't have electricity, as very few buildings seem inhabitable

it's sad - but they are working on rebuilding.  It will just take a while

some boats are still abandoned - probably not worth the insurance companies time

Hoping this is a one and done event for the area
 

Rugs, Food, and Trivia :)

it's a rug party!    Not really - just looking at some new rugs for the villa :)

and then we went to lunch

and later - it was Trivia night again!   We laugh so much!  Our friends Chris & Edie are helping for a couple weeks

 

Today we walked, and walked, swam, sailed, and zoomed!

Bolts has been getting his daily walks and then some.  We have such a nice area to walk

with some cool visitors - the sandhill cranes

time for a quick swim, the pool is finally quiet
 

and then I walk some of the Satchel's dogs - I brought hot dogs this time - they loved them!

I always check in on the cats - they have quite the life

afternoon zoom call - oh joy - discussing yacht club bylaws,

and an orientation for the Sarasota Luffing Lassies.   If I get accepted (they only take 10 every year, and at least 30-40 women are interested), then I'll take a 2 week class this fall.  They sail on sunfish
