Movie night with the Fleeps

our sailing class - nicknamed 'Fleeps' had a movie night

we watched the movie 'Maiden' about the first all women's sailing crew to tackle the Around the World Race.  It was so good!

but for sailing, it wasn't the best.  Too windy for us newbies (and very cold)

we did rig though, in hopes the wind would lay down.  It did, but way too late.

we watched some of the old salts race.  Usually there are 40 boats - today, only 12 went out, and only 9 stayed out

It was a lot easier to help everyone out of the water when it was only a few boats.  Hopefully next week...
 

More beach time

morning walks

this hotel is being turned into condos.  Too bad  - it was a Holiday Inn and relatively affordable for visitors

we don't get to the beach much in the evenings - so happy to have a beautiful one for this day

lots of people enjoying the end of a lovely day.  Our weather has been cool and rainy, so everyone takes advantage of a warm sunny day

 

Volunteer Fun

the kittens and cats are so cute & cuddly

my friend Susan and I meet up once a week at Nates to spend time with the furries

we always stop by the cute puppies too.  But I save most of my dog time to Satchels

 

Squirrels, Meetings, and Cars

Bolts is moving slower these days - he is 11 after all.  But he can still get pretty excited about a slow moving squirrel :)

An afternoon of learning some more race regatta rules at the sailing squadron

followed by some car viewing at a local storage/maintenance/sales garage

 

Food and Friends

breakfast with the morning 'Jym' girls (and guys)

then dinner with some other Florida snowbirds

 

Windy beach day

not many beach walkers  - but the wind surfers are taking advantage of the blustery day
