Racing in Florida!

Headed back to Sunny & warm Florida for a race this time.  We spent Friday in Brooksville with Chris' Mom & Tony.  No rain this time!  Then, we headed over to Orlando.
Our hotel was right next to Downtown Disney, so we took a little walk after breakfast on Saturday to check it out.

It was a beautiful day & people were everywhere!
Then we headed to Haines City to check in & drop off our bikes.  The expo was pretty low key.

The bike shop at the Expo ran out of CO2 cartridges, so we had to bust & move back to the Orlando area to get some before the bike shops closed (CO2 is used to pump up your bike tires, if you get a flat during the race).
The bike shop we stopped at was in Celebration, FL (adorable little town), and they also happened to be having an Exotic car show.
 Pretty cool stuff!

It was so nice to be able to walk around in tshirts!
On Sunday - we raced Florida 70.3.  It was a hard day.  I had cramping again in my legs.  Not as bad as Ironman day, since it was a short race, but it was depressing to me that I had to walk some of the run.  It's definitely not caused by lack of nutrition, since I ate & drank well all day.   Not sure how much more I'll be racing.  I don't like the short races, and I don't want to bother with long races, if I'm just going to be walking.  Time to find a new hobby!

Chris had a good day.  Good bike & run.
 The medals were pretty cool.
