Another good summer weekend!

A cruise night just down the road one night

 followed by a night of wine, friends, and music on a beautiful evening

 And a weekend of fun sailing!

We don't have it yet - but it's a comin' in  a few weeks!  1941 Ford!

There's a few things we'll have to update/change - but for the most part, it is ready to roll!

Sailing Trip to Block Island!

Chris was supposed to fly out to Bonneville & go land speed racing.  But a freak storm came through & drowned everything!  They were hoping to get the track dry & clear, but it didn't happen.  1st time since 1978 - that Speed Week was cancelled - wow!  Guess we were lucky we hadn't driven out.  A bunch of our friends did however.  Such a bummer.

 Fortunately the storm came through before Chris flew out, so he cancelled his flight.  And so we decided to sail to Block Island - vacation time was already approved.

 Beautiful day for a sail, although we didn't have much wind going out.

 We stayed at Champlin's resort - it was packed!

 Of course we got our biking done!  Block is pretty hilly - so we got a good workout.

 It's a small island, but beautiful.  And you get a water view around every corner.

 We stayed a couple days - we did a lot of relaxing - it was so nice!  Then it was time to sail home  Good wind & good company!  We saw some dolphins too, which is rare up here!

 Friday's at the yacht club - ahhh - never get tired of this view!

 Saturday night dinner cruise in Woodrow - to a beach town of course!

 And end the weekend with more water views - this time from Jamestown

Wish Summer didn't end!

Cruisin'

We have made it to a couple car shows and some cruise nights.  Not nearly enough, of course.  Chris has been to a few more than me - it's only fair of course.  I"m hoping we get to a lot more!!

Joe

We have a new resident in our new backyard rock wall.  Lovely.  Hoping we won't have to exterminate him, b/c he is kinda cute...  I've started calling him Joe.  Chris has yet to get a glimpse - good thing I got pictures!

Chris' mom & husband were in town, so we met them for a lovely dinner at The Boathouse.

The food was SO good!  And we always have a great time with Liz & Tony.
