Fun at the BYC

The yacht club had a country 'hoe down!'  Everyone had fun dressing up as cowboys and cowgirls.  They taught us how to country line dance

 Good bbq and conversations!
Lots of fun for adults and kids
 A great night!

Swap meet at Xfinity center

We did get out and about and made it to our first swap meet of the season.

 Lots to see!
Chris sold a few items, as did his brother
The morning was cool, but the afternoon sun came out and warmed us right up!
We ran into some hot rod friends
and we relaxed some too.  Bolts found a baseball to chew :)

Twix is 15!

She's getting up there!  But she is still the only 'kid' to always check things out.  Here she is in our 'sailboat' closet.

She would help Chris work on cars if she could.  She is always active and exploring.  A perfect kitty!

The red coupe

is coming along!  Chris has been so focused, he hasn't bothered getting our other cars ready for cruising!

The body is back on!  it won't be finished for a while yet, as the little things take so long.  But it's nice to be in one piece again.  We can fit another car in the garage!

Nephews are crazy!

My nephew drove from IL to MA straight through.  He hit a lot of detours, so it took him quite a bit longer than he thought.  His first comment when arriving at our house - I won't be doing that again!
He's done with his Masters and is moving to Boston to be with his wife, yay!  So, he left his car at our house, and we drove him up to Boston.  He couldn't wait to sleep!

They will be leaving Boston in a couple weeks, and moving to a suburb because they want a larger apartment.  And they will be able to have a car since there is parking!

Hot summer days!

One week, 50's and rain.  The next week, 90's and sun.  This week (yep, back to rain, although the temps are at least in the 60's).  So anyway - the 'kids' are enjoying some rare sunshine!

Mulch!!

Time to freshen up our yard.  Last year, we ordered the rocks for the back.  This year, it's mulch for the front.

And it looks great!  I only ordered 5 yards (previous years have been closer to 10 yards), but we still have leftover.  Hmmm.  Guess the mounds will get more; and we'll cover the dirt under the porch :)

Fundraiser for brain cancer.

Our friend had her 2nd annual fundraiser for brain cancer.  She is still battling the disease and doing well.  She is on a maintenance schedule now as the disease is not active.  But it has taken it's toll on her, as she has limited movement on one side of her body, and she can be very forgetful.  But she is still able to get around; enjoy her kids activities; and hang out with friends.  Her speech, eyesight; hearing - all good!

Lots of silent auction items.

Beautiful views from the Providence Biltmore hotel
Lovely ballroom, with a great turnout
Not a great picture - but that is our friend at the lecturn, giving her welcome speech.   Lovely evening and lots of $$ was raised.

CPR trained!

Spent the day in Providence getting my CPR/AED renewed.  It's always helpful to be prepared in case of an emergency.   So amazing that doctors, nurses, and EMT's are dealing with these types of emergencies every day and they can still keep their cool.

Spring walks with my pup!

Will finally be warm next week!  Until then, we are enjoying the cloudy drizzly days as best we can.  Long walks (with hot coffee)

Yacht club commissioning!

Spring time, so activities at the yacht club are picking up!  Last weekend was opening day - also known as commissioning.

It was a cool day, but there was a record number of attendees, including us!

Can't wait until the harbor is full, and the winds are warm!
After the ceremony we headed to our friend Bob's restaurant.  Good food!

Enjoying some post Ironman sunshine!

After our Ironman, Chris had to fly home for a business board meeting - so I flew to Florida to visit with my mom.

Did some nice easy walking on the beach (as if I needed to walk anymore...)  :)
Met up with my friend, and visited her horses.  (My phone decided at this point, that it wouldn't allow me to take any more pictures, sigh, so I didn't get any good photos of her beauties)
Spent some more time on the beach
 Had dinner with my cousins

Spent some time downtown - enjoying the coffee shops
 paths
 and farmers market
We even took a harbor cruise

 and saw some beautiful dolphins
I had a lovely few days with my mom.  I so love the FL sunshine and palm trees.
