Enjoying Block

Wash the boat!

Long walk on a beach 

Lots of seals in the water 

A small seal appeared hurt and was separated from his group.  A lady walking nearby said she would call wildlife rescue and wait.  Poor thing.  

We then walked the bluffs

The windmills-yuck 

We saw several light houses

Lunch on the patio 

Our boats!  Chris and Bob went kayaking 

Then dinner at the oars (food was terrible)

We stayed a couple days then sailed home ☺️

 

Sailing to Block Island

Last month, we took a weekend and did an overnight. 

First night, we started late as Chris did another sailing race.  

It was a little damp and chilly-we sailed from Bristol to Dutch Harbor.   We moored our boat; walked to town and met friends for dinner.

Next day we, along with another boat, sailed to Block.

Good wind so it was a quick sail 

Launch service was closing for the season, so we got docks 

Then took a walk to town 

And stopped by another friend’s boat to say hi

Then dinner and a sunset
