Trip to Sitges!

We took a day trip to a nearby beach town - Sitges!  We loved it!!

 A beautiful day & a beautiful town.  Only 30 minute Metro ride from Barcelona

Barcelona highlights

Catedral (looks like Sagrada Familia, but it's not!)

Arc de Triomph (late 1800's).  Barcelona is a pretty modern city.  The oldest architecture is from the late 1800's.

 Agbar - headquarters of the Water Company (Ag = ague = water & Bar = Barcelona)  Barcelona's water!

 La Sagrada Familia!  Amazing - built by the main Barcelona artist - Gaudi.  It's still a work in process

 Lots of scaffolding & cranes still working.  Gaudi died at age 73 before the cathedral was complete, but he did have the plans for the rest of it.

Enjoying Barcelona!

Barcelona is a city & beach town, all in one!  Lots of people walking the busy city streets.  But it also resides on the Mediterranean Sea - so the beach is only a 10 minute walk way!  Love that!

Trip to Barcelona, Spain

Chris had to be in Europe for business the first week of December, so we decided to head over early for a Thanksgiving vacation in Barcelona Spain!

1st day - just stay awake :)

Unpack the bags & head out for a walk!
