Fallout car show

Seems like all the good car shows are in the fall!  One of my favorites is in CT - a little bit of a drive, but worth it

Our first time attending this show was during the Rolling Bones Reliability Run.  It's where we met most of our favorite east coast hot rodders - like Bill & Billy!
We ran into some other friends too - Charlie (who we did meet via the reliability run) and Conrad
It was a packed house!  Good swap meet too

 Our friend Jon made it

Some other reliability run friends - Roger, Michelle, David & Rhee
We drove the red pick up, as it was a little cooler than we liked (so the Roadster stayed home)

The gang we drove with:  Chris' brother and his friends

 Off we go!

 Early dinner stop
Debating the way home (and where to stop for gas)
Great day!!

Busy week of this and that

Our friend Bob is headed back to IL for the winter as he & his wife sail in RI all summer.  So we went out to dinner with him (she is already in IL)  Yummy desserts!

Chris took a day off in the middle of the week - and we started the day off with breakfast :)
We finally emptied our black trailer (the monster) as it sold.  So we took our old washer & dryer (and a coffee table) to my old co-worker's.
Sailboat racing season has ended - so we were able to make it to the local cruise night in Bristol.  (they hold it on Wednesdays - when we sailboat race).  It was a good turnout.

 Took Bolts for some walks

The trees are turning - ugh (don't like that about fall)

Our realtor came over for a visit - she loved the Woodie!
Even though she prefers historical homes, she loved how we opened up our house

I spent the entire weekend at the Y, and in a pool!  A lifeguard training class.  I'd much rather have spread it out over a few days and not use up my entire weekend, but it is what it is.  (or was :))
Lots of online training before the class, then a few hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in classroom training (CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard rules).  And then over 7 hours in the pool.  I was a prune!  And my hips - oh - from the treading water - holy moly, were they sore!  I couldn't complain though - since the other participants in the class were high school swim teamers.  Oh, to be young again (ok, maybe not That young...)  But I did survive and passed.  I hope to be getting a certificate one of these days, and maybe I'll get a job if time permits.
The class was from Friday - 6 to 8 pm; Saturday 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday 9 am to 6 pm.  Fortunately, we got out early on Sunday - so I had time to enjoy the sunshine with the family.

We explored a new forest nearby in Tiverton, RI

 Bolts marking his territory :)

It was a beautiful walk -and so glad I had time to get outside some!  Chris spent the weekend puttering around the house on Saturday.  On Sunday, he was supposed to compete in a sailboat race (on our friend's cool boat that went to Bermuda, Incognito), but it was cancelled due to no wind.  They did go out to the start, and like last week's race, floated around for a while, before it was called off.

Lots of Rain!

Big rain too! (and very frequently these days)   I'm glad we shut our sprinkler system off early, as we definitely don't need it any more this year!

Girls night!

We had another girls night - but instead of it being on a boat, it was in a house :)  A beautiful historic home, built in the late 1700's!

I love the wide pine floors
Fun evening chatting and eating good food!
