Hershey - Day 2

Day 2 was dry, but much colder. 

 

 All the vendors were open - and all the people came!

 We walked for 7 hours, and saw a lot of the swap meet.  I'm not sure anyone can see it all - even if you stay all week!

 For a break, we headed to Hershey's Chocolate World!

 YUM!

 We took the tour (and may or may not have bought a Lot of chocolate :))

Then it was time to pack up and head home. It was a 6 hour drive after all :)

Hershey Swap Meet!

Its swap meet season - so we drove to a big one in Hershey, PA

 

It was raining our first day, so only a few vendors were open (which we expected, so we arrived late)

 

 The 'cars for sale' area was hopping though, and there were some interesting rare finds

 a large group of cars were to be auctioned -  a large group of people were hanging around here to keep out of the rain!

Week full of Fun!

 

Nothing like an early morning walk along the water to start your day off right!!  Too bad the mornings are chilly now.

 

 Bolts was very interested in the swan!  It kept hissing at him, which only excites Bolts more :)

 An afternoon sail - not many days left to do this!

 A little breezy this afternoon, so we reefed and still had an enjoyable sail

 A friend needed some help moving a few items - who wouldn't want to help - especially when the views from the house are this gorgeous!  (looking over Bristol harbor)

 where we ran into a few friends :)

 Another friend had a meet & greet at the yacht club.  Potential school committee members gave their opinion on how to improve the local schools.  Tis the season to Vote!

Half marathon

Fall is running season!  So I signed us up for a half marathon in Newport, RI.  We weren't trained, so it wasn't pretty, but we got it done!

We had to get to the start early as we had to pick up our race packets and take a shuttle bus to the start.  So we relaxed in the warm truck for a while

 

 We finished!  It was at a marathon race pace, as we didn't want to hurt ourselves too badly :)

Now hopefully that will jump start our fall training!  I see another half in our near future...

We were still pretty beat up from it, so we didn't do much the rest of the day.  But we did have a yummy lunch and take Bolts for a good long walk

 It's hard to tell in this pictures - but many more leaves are turning from green to orange!  It's that time of year!
