Project 1955 Done!

Chris has finished the 1955 truck' steering!  It took a lot longer bc he couldn't get parts.  Above picture is us delivering it back to the owner.  Before that, we took it for a little cruise to make sure all the parts were working

We drove it to the yacht club where we cooked dinner :)

Some friends were walking by & decided to join us - which is why we like the club so much!

Chris has been teaching adult sailing (volunteering) on some evenings

So he deserves a beer (and dinner)

and ice cream

in our favorite town :)

 

Twins!

My cousin's son & his wife had identical twin boys!   4 and 5 pounds at birth, so they stayed in ICU for a couple weeks

But they are now home, and doing well.  Grandpa loves holding them both :)

Twins do run in my family - on my dad's side.  From what I know:  My Grandpa had twin sisters.  My cousin had twin boys, and now my cousin's son has had twin boys!

Never enough of these perfectly beautiful evenings!

 

Bean's vet appointment

Poor unsuspecting Bean - soon to be poked & prodded :)

She loves to be outside & hunt mice, so she has to go to the veterinarian and get annual checkups

Fortunately, the appointment only lasted 10 minutes - and she handled it like a champ!  I think it has helped that we have had so many visitors this year.  She's becoming quite friendly.  And her stats are all good.  She could lose a little weight, but otherwise she is perfect!

 

Cloudy mornings can turn into sunshiney days!

Brrr- swimming in the outdoor pool at the YMCA can be cold!!  Especially on cloudy days.  But then a stop at our favorite coffee shop always helps :)

Then look - sunshine!  Chris is helping take a sailboat to Maine, so we spent an afternoon learning about the boat.   We arrived at the yacht club during the EBSF sailing classes - love seeing the kids on boats (or in this case, soon to be on boats)

Sea Rose is a Freedom 35 - it's a beauty!  Chris is lucky to have this chance

Some new electronics were installed, so they listened to the installer for any new changes

We actually didn't sail - but we did motor out into the harbor to test the electronics.  It was still a beautiful day to be on the water

Here, we have the kids in boats!  :)

There is a lot to learn on the sailboat - especially since they will be doing an overnight passage.  But there will be 5 people on board, and 4 of them have sailed at night

It's a beauty down below too!

 I won't be joining the group (have to do payroll, and it's not easy to do on a moving boat).  But there should be a next time..
