Ohio bound - day #1

Off on another adventure - to Ohio for a triathlon, my last qualifier for Hawaii Ironman
We took Big Blue & Bolts and were on the open road westbound.  Bolts got comfortable pretty quickly
Always a lot to see along the roadway  - some wreck, looked like someone blew a tire
a cool tractor painted on the side of this red barn

We had a short drive on day 1, and stopped in the middle of New York.  We found a great Harvest Host:  Gasstrom Farm.  We were the only visitors for the evening, so it was nice and quiet.  We met the owner, learned the history (it used to be a brewery), and bought some yummy beef, honey, and jam!

They had some pretty cool tables made from an old tree
cute facility

nice sunny evening

They had a nice motorcross track that we walked for a little exercise.
We had some great views from the top of the hills

Honey (bee) hives

setting up water for the night - Bolts likes to chase the hose, especially if water is coming out :)

Foiling First!

Our yacht club had a benefit for Foiling First - a group that is introducing foiling to young sailors  It's all the rage in professional sailing, so they are out on a promotional tour, with BYC as one of their first stops!
Big crowd on hand - and a very good presentation.  They also had 2 days of practice sailing on the boats, but unfortunately we had light winds so they didn't get much practicing.  But the excitement level is UP about it!

We'll see how we can introduce it into our program next season - should be fun!
