Trivia night - new place

Tamiami Tap is just too busy, so we're trying a new place for Trivia.  It's much more low key, so we'll try it for a couple weeks.

they had some silly games in between (not really a fan), and Chris crushed it for our team!

 

New home for our sunfish

as nice as it was to keep it in the garage, it wasn't ideal to trailer it to the squadron every day (traffic)

so we rented a rack at the squadron - and put new carpet and fancied it all up - as best we could

another FWSA club member posted a notice which our Luffing Lassie chief boat buyer shared.  Me, Chris, and 2 of my classmates headed to St Pete and bought a sailboat!   It's 2001, so a little older, but always garage kept -and squeaky clean :)   It came with a dolly and a trailer, and many other odds and ends and for under $3,000!   Good buy for us, since we have so many hobbies and have to spread our $$ around :)

It is now in our garage in Sarasota, but soon to be moved to a rack at the squadron.  Sad it can't be kept in a garage, but trailering it to & from the squadron isn't fun or practical.

Tampa RV Show

we always enjoy walking around RV shows - so on a lazy Saturday - we took a ride north.   It was busy, but we could still see alot

enjoyed talking to the family of this standard schnauzer - he was very sweet

Bike training

Brrr, it's been chilly in Florida!   Cool wind and rainy, so killing some time on the bike trainer.  Also did some looking at some upcoming triathlons.  I was thinking maybe I'll do another Full Ironman - I hate to end my long career on a DNF, but I'm also not feeling too committed to the many hours of training.   Then I received this email from Ironman:   an invitation to the World Championship in Nice, France!  Very exciting - but I'm not feeling the need to compete in a world championship in another country.  Especially since I've been dealing with minor but chronic foot and elbow annoyances.   I have until Feb 15th to make my decision
