Visit from Chris' Mom!

Chris' mom & her husband Tony came to town for a visit!  We were able to see them a couple times on their busy trip.

Home for my aunt

My aunt passed away, so I went home for the funeral.  It was a beautiful service.  Her husband passed away just a few months ago, so they are together again.

 After the service, we went to my cousin's home & the sisters picked out cookie jars as a memento of my aunt.  My aunt collected many cookie jars, so there were all kinds to choose from.

Bonneville Salt Flats 2013!! Speed Week

Made the trip again!  This time we flew for a long weekend.  Bonneville is one of those places on earth that is so rare & different.  We love it

 A lot of people & a lot of fun

 There are 3 areas on the Salt Flats:  The pits where the racers keep & work on the cars, the starting line, and below:  the area in between, where people set up camp (temporarily b/c you have to be off the salt every night)

 The lines of cars & motorcycles waiting to race.  There are 4 race tracks.  Racers go one at a time, trying to beat records.  If they do break a record, then they go into Impound & have to do a record run the following morning (meaning they have to repeat it)  It's not easy to get into the record books!

More sailing fun!!!

Last Friday afternoon, we sailed from our slip to the Bristol yacht club.  Beautiful day.  We stayed for dinner and then

 motor sailed home - in the dark!  What Fun!

 Then on Sunday (Saturday was the Milltown car show :)  we sailed to Newport.

 More wind & waves.  Bolts was enjoying himself.

 This past weekend, we did a full day car event- it's been a while!  We met for breakfast.
