2013 Reliability Run

Our 6th year doing the Reliability Run!!  Love it (obviously)  My favorite car peeps go on this trip :)

It started Saturday morning at MJ Tuckers in Standisfield, MA

 A little cool, but still a beautiful fall day

 We headed into CT, which has the most beautiful back roads &  cute country towns

 We drove the '34 Roadster - top up

 We've been out of town for too many weekends lately, where Mr. Bolts couldn't join us.  So, we agreed that he would join us on this road trip.  He loved it!!

 After we drove some CT roads, we ended up in Glastonbury, CT at the Fallout Car show.

 Then it was dinner time!  Steakhouse (thanks Bill for the awesome choice)

 We all enjoy hanging out with each other - it's such a fun relaxing weekend.

 Up early the next morning & eating again!  Sheesh!

Soon, it was time for 3 more hours of fun driving!

 We met up again at MJ Tuckers & chatted some more :)

 Soon it was time for the Nuts & Bolts game.  We're never lucky enough to win a tshirt or the $$.

 We didn't want the weekend to end!  See you next October!!!

Leaving the Jersey Shore & heading home

 Up early on Sunday morning for a nice walk on the beach.

They had more racing on Sunday, but they weren't scheduled to start until Noon due to the tide.

So we said goodbye to the well kept seaside town.

 Breakfast before heading home!

 Our friend Bill got a flat tire on the way home.  Fortunately he had a spare

 And Richie had the jack!

 We did the same routine on the way home - stopped for gas & a stretch every 2 hours.  Worked out perfectly.

Race of Gentleman - 2nd annual

We were up bright & early on Saturday morning for a nice run along the beach.  Then we headed over to the Starlux motel to see the race cars head off.

 They also had a motorcycle division racing.  Here they are - heading out to the beach!

 The cars & motorcycles all lined up & ready to race!

 Starting line - 1/8th of a mile was the distance

 Cool cars, cool location & warm sunny day!

 Motorcycles racing!  Guess who is on #69???  Rick from OCC!  He won this race

 And our friends, Richie & Ken facing off.  After both going 3-0, they were scheduled to race each other.  Ken ended up winning this one.

 They built a nice sand hill which was used a bleachers :)

 Later that evening, they had a bonfire & band on the beach.  The Boardwalk was all lit up.

 The bonfire burned out pretty early.  Ok by me - I was tired!

 Dinner with our friends!  Richie being Richie.  our friends, Jim & Bernadette also came down for the weekend.  And Bill & Mary.  Good times!!
