Illinois time!

I packed a lot in this trip to IL!

Great lunch (and dinner) at our local pub

 

 It was harvest time - so the fields were getting combined

 My mom 'water witched' my brother in laws house.  She carries 2 pieces of wire, and they either cross or separate when she walks over a water line; or well.  It's amazing to watch!

 And we sewed!  I made 2 dresses - with the help of my mom!  I did most of the sewing, but she really helped me get the patterns set and pinned.  I was super happy with the results!

A Visit Home - to IL to see my niece cheer in her final year of high school!!

I always get back to IL to see my niece's and nephews play in their high school sports.  So, it was time again!  My last one :(

 

Rain was in the forecast, but it turned out to be a beautiful evening!

It was fun to go to a high school football game again.

 And my niece's boyfriend was a starter on the team.  I tried to get a photo - but he was always moving - too quick!!

 The football game was a blowout - the home team (us) won!!  Yay! 

 The cheerleaders performed their competitive routine at halftime.

 We also watched the band's performance - which was really good!

 And the next day - we saw my niece get ready for her last Homecoming Dance.

 Her boyfriend came over and was subjected to many many many photos!!

 But wait - there were more photos at the country club where they were having dinner with friends.
Oh my!!  They did have a great time at the dance.  She was able to dance well in her dress - only trouble was getting in and out of the car!  hahaha!

Red Sox baseball game - getting close to the end of the season!

 I tagged along with Chris and his work friends for a late season baseball game!

 

 It was a warm evening, which was a bonus.  And we had Great seats!!  Against the Yankees!!

 The Red Sox won the game with a walk off in the bottom of the 9th inning!  Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it, since I had an early morning flight, so left the game a little early.

Harbor cruise with friends

We took a drive to the yacht club - planning on cooking out, and just chilling on the grounds.

 

 But we ran into some friends that we hadn't seen in a while - so went on a little wine & cheese cruise around the harbor

 Spontaneous activities are the best!

A favorite car show

Headed to a car show in the Orange Coupe! It started out wet, but weather turned beautiful.

 

 There was still a really good turnout.  It's one of the best car shows around, put on by our friend's car club

 We were one of the last to leave...

 And we stopped on the way home to have dinner with some friends.  And they continued to chat about cars.  They can talk all day, every day - cars cars cars!!

Woodie Show!

We finally made it back to the local Woodie show.  It used to be on the Cape - now it's in a town, just off the Cape. Nice venue

 

 There were about 25 Woodies - nice showing!

 Bolts did not like the added attractions some of the drivers brought

 Good music!

 Nice scenery

 And a nice cruise after the show
