There are so many fitness centers doing online classes - there aren't any excuses for not getting some form of exercise in these dark days. We also have a great home gym - so we really need to get busy!
Riding our bike trainers - watching TV (news is so depressing, but we can't stop watching it). Bolts hangs out with us too.
We have a great rower
Bike trainers & elliptical machine
and treadmill! The only piece of equipment we need for a triathlon is an endless pool. But that's probably not going to happen unless they drop their prices by at least $10,000. Those things are costly!! And I imagine require a lot of expensive maintenance. So maybe we'll just become du athletes. I'm limiting my workouts to 30 minutes (60 min for a long workout) because of my arthritic hips, but it's still good to keep moving.

If we aren't relaxing or walking, we're eating :)
Our last yacht club function was cancelled, but they had already ordered the food. So we were able to come and get it as take out :) Our yacht club is finally up and running (well it was....) Chris & I missed the grand reopening party because we were in Daytona at the 24 hour race. I'll post more pics of the new yacht club this spring or summer.
We don't have many sweets in the house, but I did have a left over cake mix from a cookie recipe believe it or not. So I did make the cake - comfort food! It was pretty yummy and didn't last more than a couple days!
We are still getting our greens in - Kale chips!
But we've also been supporting some local restaurants and getting take out like pizza from Bristol House of Pizza (we ate it too fast so I didn't get a pic :)) and muffins from Hope Diner. Yum!

When we aren't hiking...
We're relaxing! Bolts loves his bones from the grocery store meat department. I'm glad I bought a few packs for him
Bean sleeps all the time!
Chris in his home office!
Bolts loves to cuddle
They both like to cuddle up with Chris :)

Flash Back Friday - Marathons!
I ran my first marathon in September of 1999 in Portland OR- with my friend Kristi. Your first one is always the most special.
Another special one was November 2001 - New York City - just 7 weeks after 9/11. The crowd support was amazing. I ran for my friend, Pam Gaff who died in the event :(. Chris ran the race too. What a special day!

Weetamoo & Massasoit
Here's some pictures from our hikes at Weetamoo Woods & Massasoit. It's still chilly in New England, but warmer days do sprout up here & there
Massasoit offers some nice views of lakes

Back to lots of walking posts :)
At least we can still go for walks!! And thank goodness we have some local forests close to home.
Bolts decided he needed to stand on this log :)
This was from the weekend before restaurants were closed - our last breakfast out.

Changing times
Well, we did stock up on some items, as we get closer and closer to a full lockdown! Beer and papertowels (since TP isn't easy to get...)
All kidding aside, these are some strange times for all of us.

Our last hurrah's!
We had dinner with a few different friends over the last week. We only took one photo though - with our friends Paul & Sharon. Now it's time to lay low and enjoy time at home thanks to the Coronavirus. Who knows when we'll get to enjoy dinner out again!

Getting stuff from the shop
It's always fun to visit Chris' brother's shop. Chris always finds something he needs for one of his hot rods. I already forgot what we walked away with from this trip...

Car museum!
Nice way to spend a rainy day - looking at cars that never made it into production.
The museum was decked out nicely for the holidays too.
This was my favorite - wish it had made it to production! It's basically a corvette with a hardtop.
This one (above) was built with sensors - it would let you know when another car was too close! I can't remember when it was built - 50's? But they had all that technology back then, and they act like it's new technology today. Crazy! Also the windows & roof would go up when it started to rain (automatically!)
Cool gauges & steering wheel (above)
Many of the designs carried features of jet airplanes (above)
This Cadillac was looong and luxurious.
And here we have the mid engine corvette. Again built (originally in the 60's??) but was too costly to put into production.
The full picture of the mid engine - now in 2020, they are bringing it back.
