Trans Am racing!

While Chris was in town, he wanted to watch some racing.  Fortunately, there was the Trans Am series at Sebring.  So we jumped in the Corvette and drove over for the day.  There was also a car show at the track, so we cruised through that before the races started.
It was mostly late model cars like our corvette, but there were a few coolers ones there too.

Then we headed to the pits to see the race cars.  Late model racing and vintage racing was happening, so there were a lot of different types of race cars to see.

Our friend, Tom, was there with the vintage Trans Am race cars.  His car was being shipped to the Amelia Island Concours d'elegance so he was just a spectator.  These are Chris' favorite cars to watch.

Then we watched some racing - from a lot of different viewpoints around the track.

At lunch, the car shows cars were allowed to drive the track.  It was a slow parade of cars but still fun even though Chris has really driven this track before.

Then it was back to the pits to watch the vintage Trans Am cars fire up before their race.

And then we watched more racing!

It was a full day - and a lot happening, so it stayed interesting :)
