Turtle snorkeling adventure

So many more adventures available on Oahu versus the big island.  So we went on a snorkel with sea turtle adventure

along with many many others :)     We did see the turtles - they can stay underwater a long time, but we could watch them swimming around.  The water was pretty clear, so we could see quite well

and the water was warm, as long as you kept moving around

we were on a catamaran  - which they can just beach right on Waikiki

then it was time for lunch with a view

later we took a nice walk up to the Diamond Head lighthouse

we passed the War Memorial - which is an old swimming pool - used in the 1920's but the sea is taking it over now, and there doesn't seem to be much sign of restoring it

it was a perfect day for a walk - with some amazing views of diamond head
