Taking Walks in FL
the views are pretty spectacular!
It looked like this group (from what their shirts say...) do Tai Chi. I'm not sure if they use the fans while they do Tai Chi or if they use them for something else. Whatever - it looked pretty cool!

The Keys - Leaving
I used Chris' phone to take picture on the day we left the Keys. They are truly an amazing place to visit. If you love the water, it's perfect for you, because it is everywhere!
And the small islands (key's) are quaint and full of local businesses.
Once we left Hwy 1, we took 41 which takes us through the FL Everglades
There are small Indian villages along the way
as well as places to stop and take Air Boat rides if you so desire
It was a long day of driving - as we had to unload Big Blue and put him in storage. I"m glad it was interesting :) I also had to get to a store and get a new cell phone!!

The Key's
We didn't do as much as we normally would on a vacation because of Covid, but we still got out a bit. Chris was working all week, so early evening was our time to explore. We went to Burdine's (outdoor restaurant)
and we saw the fun free roaming chickens and roosters. We stopped for an ice cream, but mostly just walked down Duval street then headed back to the resort. It was a Monday evening so pretty quiet fortunately.
Another evening we took a drive to No Name Key
And another evening we had dinner at Kiki's - a very cool tiki bar!
The biggest downfall for our week, was the wind! We had 20+ knots of wind all day everyday. Too gusty for us to really enjoy sitting around our campsite - we had to go inside Big Blue. It's not always that windy, so hopefully our next trip will be better! We got a good feel for the Key's, so will do more next time when Covid isn't an issue.
We also went to Key West, but only stayed for a couple hours. (My pictures of Duval Street are in the Gulf :)) We did make it to the southernmost point
and we saw the fun free roaming chickens and roosters. We stopped for an ice cream, but mostly just walked down Duval street then headed back to the resort. It was a Monday evening so pretty quiet fortunately.

The Keys - our resort & Manatees!
Our RV resort was, right on the water of course (everything is right on the water!), and also had a marina. We accidentally found 3 manatees hanging out in the marina. I think they are always here. Bolts fell in love! He was so excited that they big animals wouldn't run from him. He could get so close!
It was pretty cool to see them so close. It was sad to see the scars from the boat propellers. They are hard to see in murky water and they move so slow - it's hard to avoid them even if you are diligent.
The water and views were so lovely at our resort.
It was a pretty big resort - but there was a lot of availability - waiting & hoping for seasonal renters to come down...
