Chris had business on Long Island - so I came along. It worked out that we were in Maryland,so we only had to drive half way home :)
We took a little different route - and went right through Manhattan - fun!
One afternoon - we explored the South fork of Long Island - The Hamptons. We cruised through Southhampton
You can't see much - everyone must think it's cool to have these hedges around their properties. Even the not impressive homes tried to hide behind it.
and East Hampton
Most of the wineries are on the North Fork, but there are a few on the South Fork. A good one is Wolffer
We also stopped at Duckwalk
And stopped at a local farmstand
where I rode the horse :) and bought some pumpkin bread, yum!
Another afternoon, we walked along the river in Riverhead
tried the corn maze (it was tough!!)
fed some goats :)
raced a couple tractors!
and visited a couple more vineyards
Bedell (very good!)
and Jamesport (my favorite!)
After his meetings, we took the ferry home.
Amazing sunset!
Nice souvenirs from our trip!!
