Thanksgiving fun

We had Thanksgiving Dinner at my sisters.  Weather was good - a little cool, but warmed up nicely.

Bolts liked exploring

 

 He didn't get along with his cousins though.  Lily was too obsessive (the westie), and Keegan wasn't happy with Bolts not liking his sister.  3 terriors  = terror

 We had some delicious food though!  Pie & Cookies courtesy of my niece,  Yum!

Weekend fun

We had some visitors:  We have hired an architect and general contractor to do some work on our new home.  We need the basement fireproofed, so Chris can legally work on cars there, and we are having some skylights put in.

 

 We went antiquing :)  but didn't buy anything.  We don't want to decorate until our house deconstruction and reconstruction has finished.

 We took a nice walk thru town :)

 Chris designed and built our new breakfast bar. We used the same copper powder as we used on the kitchen island

 Chris hung some cabinets in the upstairs garage.  Mainly for cleaning supplies and miscellaneous items.  His workshop will be in the basement where it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

 and I did the final mow for the year (I hope!)  I'm sure we'll still get some pesky leaves, but I don't think the lawn is growing much these days.

 Our friend's daughter took to the stage to sing for us!  Fun night!

Mish mash of things we did

Bolts and I took a nice walk along the waterfront one morning

 

 and saw the town putting up it's holiday lights!  We'll miss the tree lighting ceremony, as we are always out of town for the holidays.  They put on a great show (we did see it once many moons ago :))

 We are adding to our kitchen collection - adding a breakfast bar which will also be copper vein powder coated.  Here it is shown as bare metal

 We added wood to the kitchen island.  It originally had a wood shelf, but the wood was rotted, so we replaced it.

 We went to a new place for breakfast - along the water of course!

 Yum!

 We have been spending a lot of time shopping here

 Fortunately, we did get to a fun antique store one afternoon.

 and we have been super busy (or Chris has) getting rid of those pesky leaves!  Our leaf blower comes with an attachment that will suck them up (it's awesome!)  So we can get those pesky leaves out of the bushes!

 Looks so much better!! (for one day until more collect, sigh)

Keeping busy & staying warm!  Cold weather has made it's appearance!

Girlfriends weekend at the beach!

Met up with my college girlfriends for some fun at the beach!  Thankfully, my one girlfriend has a place, so it was an easy vacation.  And the weather was perfect!  Sunshine every day!
