Sailing trip day #5

a layover in Plymouth, MA.   it was a very hot & muggy day - 90's with little breeze
we've been to Plymouth many times, but it's still a fun place to walk around.  On that note, since it was hot & we have been here before, we opted to do very little :)
the town is full of cute painted shells

we stopped for breakfast

quaint rustic kitchen

then we found a shade tree to sit under :)

a while later, we saw Blue Devil and decided to take a tour of the Mayflower II

original Mayflower was sailed back to England and dismantled.  So they built a replica and sailed it back to US in the 1950's - taking the same route

view of the harbor (and Grace) from the Mayflower II

30 men sailed Mayflower II.   102 Pilgrims came over on the original Mayflower

we then walked around town for a bit more (so hot!)

before we found a smoothie shop and relaxed

dinner that night in the air conditioning - yay!

then we took a nice walk along the breakwater jetty
