Daytona - Nascar racing!

We headed back to Daytona - this time for the Nascar season kick off!  We arrived Thursday night to watch the duels

We booked a campsite for Thurs - Sun

Our friends from Bristol, Tom & Peggie also joined us

Thursday night racing started out good!

Lots of activity to watch from the fan deck - which is on top of the garages

But it started to rain at the start of the 2nd duel

We went back to our motorhomes, while they dried the track (it seems to take forever!).  When we came back, it was much quieter

They did get the 2nd duel done - but it was a late night (the first of many for the weekend) 

We had tickets for the grandstands - but we never left the infield.  We could see more activity, even if we couldn't see as much racing

It's fun to walk around the garages, and see the crews and cars
