BBWWT Day #19, UT to CO

Last morning in Moab - quick mountain bike ride from the camp ground, and then we were on our way!  We were headed east & our friends were headed west
Colorado
Lots of beauty in CO
Bolts just napped, on my footstool!
I 70 followed the Colorado river (nice  bike paths along most of it too)

Beautiful day, so we saw a lot of rafters

and even some jet skiers (kinda odd on a river...)
dark clouds - storm ahead :(

we passed by a number of ski resorts.  Some were closed, some were still open

Our first (and only) traffic issue of our trip
Not sure why I 70 was closed (both directions), but it sure made an interesting trip in Big Blue - driving up this 2 lane highway, with sheer drop offs, windy road, no guardrail...
More interesting drive though - this ski resort was jamming!

and of course it started to snow!

Loveland Pass~11,991 altitude!  Big Blue was in the sky!

We finally made it down (detour took us an extra hour).   We were way up there - crazy!
CO is full of quaint towns - wish we could stop at them all!
Our stop for the night    Golden, CO  More ominous clouds awaited us
There was a nice walking path - so Bolts got some exercise
The path went up a big hill, so we could look out over the campground
Big biker bar across the street - music was LOUD.  Fortunately, it stopped pretty early.
Crazy Tstorms all night long!
