The Gathering at Rough Point

 Another event in Newport - The Gathering at Rough Point!  We bought tickets to attend this event.  Rough Point is a mansion in Newport that was a private home for Doris Duke until she passed in 1993.  It is now part of the Newport Historical Society.  Lucky to attend an event here!

 Most of the cars on display were part of the exotic sports car club

 There were lounging tents and pop up tiki bars everyone on the property.

 And of course, lots of cars... like these McLaren's

 It was a sunny day - but very very windy, so it made it quite chilly (even though the temps said 70)

 They had some unveiling's through out the day.  This was the new Porsche Speedster

 I like the Bugatti's :)

 Rod Emory unveiled his new restored Porsche - the red one.  It was pretty amazing

 The grounds at Rough Point were so beautiful - right on the ocean

 There was just the right amount of attendees

 Beautiful arrangements everywhere

 The gardens were set up nicely - with tables and a bar

 But we were here for the cars!

 They had a chef on hand - giving cooking demonstrations.  I'm pretty sure I've never seen that at a car event before...

 The inside of the tents were set up nicer than most hotels :)

 Then we walked down the street to another gathering - just of Bugatti's.  They were just leaving - heading to Jay Leno's for an evening party.  What a day to own a Bugatti!
