Cars and Coffee - Newport!

The Newport museum has had a few cars and coffee events this summer - not as many as previous years, but they are happening!  And we finally made it to one!  It was a little foggy heading out

But it cleared up pretty quickly
The event was held at Fort Adams - so plenty of room to social distance.  We drove our red coupe

It was a good turnout
Chris likes checking out the Porsche's now

Not many 'tiquers at these events

We stopped for breakfast on the way home - yum!

Summer Socializing

We've been pretty busy socializing, all in all.  We see the same people, who also see the same people.  And we don't get too close :)  And we're almost always outside.

These friend's have a beautiful home on the water! The home is full of antiques and is just as beautiful as their view

At BYC, we see the same friends.

We had some family come over once.  Bolts was good with Levi, the little one.  We were worried because he wanted to eat him when he was a baby.  The squeaking really got to Bolts :)

Chris' brother, Dallas, brought an old bicycle, so they took turns taking Levi for a spin.  They only rode for a couple minutes since no one had helmets.

Then we took them to our beach.  Levi loves the water!  It was a fun day!

Our BYC friends - we met them on their boat for a change from the yacht club

And we've met some new yacht club members  - just from sitting around the fire pit

We've only eaten out a few times (we have done take out).  This night was perfect, as the restaurant was quiet.  But the views were lovely.

We did have our yacht club friend's over one night - to view Big Blue.  We served shish kebobs - yum!

and since it's getting dark early, we ate inside.

Cars & Coffee - 1st Porshe event

Porsche clubs are still having gatherings (social distancing & masks enforced), so we drove to one on the Cape.  It felt a little odd going to a car show that wasn't for 'old' cars.  Our Porsche is 34 years old though

Then we followed our friends back to their home, where we got into a bigger car so they could show us around their town.
We don't go to the Cape much, because the traffic can be such a pain. So it was a treat to explore something in our back yard.  There are a lot of mini golf resorts, and fun restaurants :)

beautiful properties
lovely ocean views
and cool boat yards
An America's cup sailboat getting a makeover

We had lunch at a boat yard - good food!
Then back to our friend's home.  It looked pretty nice with a couple Porsche's parked in the front yard!

Late afternoon, we cruised home.  Luckily - not too much traffic!
