Sailing Trip Day #2: Padanaram to Vineyard Haven

Up early!  Bill & Barbara picked us up in their dinghy so we could go for a run while they went for a walk.  Padanaram is such a cute village to walk/run through
local church
beach!
Gulf Hill ice cream stand

more beach :)
it's a small village, so it doesn't take long to get out of town & see the countryside

Over the bridge & back to the village

And we found Bill & Barbara - meeting a local pup
we grabbed some coffee & breakfast
then a nice walk back to the yacht club for a shower

back to the boat & on our way to Vineyard Haven (on Martha's Vineyard)

Not much wind, so we had to do a lot of motor sailing again

The sun did come out - yay!
West Chop!
VH harbor traffic

Relaxing on the mooring before heading to dinner
We saw a boat in the distance that was on fire.  It was a huge fire (when you looked through binoculars). The MV fire department was dispatched.  It was a 40 foot power boat - everyone got off ok.  The boat burned but they were still able to tow it to another marina to be totaled.  At least it didn't sink in the harbor

Off to dinner

It's fun being on a boat, but it's also nice getting back to land!

Black Dog Tavern
Chris helping Bill & Barbara land their dinghy
We took a nice walk to a food truck festival for dinner.

They had live music, which was perfect for the evening

Walking back to the marina

ice cream stop!

 Day #2 done & dusted!
