Neighborhood walk

Just walking out the door for an hour long walk around the neighborhood, I saw this gecko hanging out on the pelican statue :)
There are a lot of walking trails in the Meadows, so it's never boring or dull
They have a nature trail
many many many sidewalks -
and a lot of ponds (reclaimed water, so they can be stinky at times)
And every once in a while, you get to see the locals :)

On this walk, I also saw another alligator, but it was in the water, and went under when I walked by

There is a beautiful butterfly garden with many beautiful plants.  Sometimes you see butterflies & sometimes you don't :)

There are a lot of beautiful birds - like this blue heron

lovely golf courses wind through the neighborhood was well.  Below is another local - he was across the pond, so a little harder to see
They have plenty of benches for resting & relaxing

and a few streams flow through the neighborhood as well
the neighborhood gym, which is being demolished (sadly since it has so much character)
the new gym and conference room center.  It's nice, but kind of plain
they have options for you to 'work out' along the trails too.  Rarely do I see anyone use them

the waterfall - wasn't working earlier in the year, but has been working fine.  Of course this day, it was shut off
shell paths
lovely flowers
back to our street

 Perfect hour walk :)
