BYC Cruise Day #4

Day #4 started off like most others - a nice walk on a beach

For lunch, our group met at Trader Ed's
a fun restaurant with a pool!!

The fog had burned off, so it was hot and muggy - perfect day for a swim in the pool
Our friend, Jeff, used to keep his boat on Trader Ed's dock and was a frequent visitor.  A number of years ago, he caught an 800 lb tuna during a competition.  He's still on the picture wall!
Later in the day, we took another stroll around Hyannis

We were using guest moorings of the Hyannis Yacht Club.  It's beautiful
They also have a youth sailing program
and a salt water pool - so cool!!

Bolts wanted to swim with the kids.  Chris and I wanted to swim in the pool, but it was always busy with lessons

Later, we met some BYC friends on their boat for appetizers

Then we headed to dinner at the yacht club
 Another beautiful day!

BYC Cruise Day #3

Next morning, we were up early and taking Bolts for a morning stroll

Then we were off to Hyannis!  We had to motor through Woods Hole - a tight channel with serious current
and a lot of traffic.  Has to be timed just right
Some of the traffic was Very Big - Ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket
 Beautiful views though
We had another good day of wind  - but then we ran into a fog bank.  No fun.  Fortunately, it only took us 30 min to get through it, and we still had about 100 yards of visibility
Back on land to enjoy Hyannis
Then we met the BYC gang at a local park for another picnic
Later, the fog came back, and hung around the next morning too.

BYC cruise day #2

We started off in Padanaram - beautiful morning

Took a nice walk around the village

Then headed out - next destination - Quisset Harbor - near Falmouth, MA on Cape Cod
Beautiful day for a sail.  Perfect wind

Coming into Quisset Harbor - so charming

Once we found our mooring, we put the boom tent up (shade) and enjoyed the afternoon.  We went swimming

and chatted with our neighbors
I had  purchased a foot cycle, so I could still 'bike' while we were on vacation (will work in a car too!!)

We took Bolts for a nice walk around the harbor later in the day

Bolts was really enjoying the dinghy - enjoyed biting the waves.  I had to hold onto him, or he would have definitely fallen in.
That night we met the other yacht clubbers for a picnic on the beach.

What a day!  We all had a great time.
