1st birthday party

It was Levi's 1st birthday party - Chris' niece Alexa's baby boy :)    Look what Grandpa made him -  a hot rod wagon!
It was a hot day so Levi was mostly interested in playing with the ice
Glad there was plenty of shade to get away from the hot sun.
All sorts of fun things for the kids to play with - a slide and a pool
Levi liked sitting with his grandpa
What a cake!  It was Baby Shark theme - Alexa really did a great job with the decorations.  I just didn't do a great job with my photos :)

Time to smash his own cake

He did a good job too.  Then it was bath time and nap time which he was more than ready for!
 A fun afternoon!

Sunset walk

It was another beautiful night - so we went to the beach by the bridge to watch the sunset

Bolts had fun, but was a little concerned with the rocks covered in moss.  He wasn't quite sure what they were - they looked like rocks with hair :)

Meetings

Our sailing foundation meetings in the summer are now outside or under the tent.  It's been a nice change from the board room
Who can complain about the view - now it's only a few steps away!

Sailboat Racing again!

We're missing a lot of racing this year, but not all of them.  It was a beautiful Wed night with a nice amount of wind.  We didn't have a great start, but we stayed in the mix

Nice and warm evening - it was a great night to be on the boat!  4th place for the night but better than DFL!
A lot of racers enjoying the evening and the tiki bar!

Visit from our niece!

My niece from IL came for a visit.  It was a short trip - just for the weekend, but we packed a lot of fun into it!  Friday night was dinner and cuddles with Bolts :)
Then Saturday we headed to Newport for a cars & coffee event
 We took the red pickup

This week they were at Salve Regina university
It's set along a cliff walk - so after we looked at the cars we went for a short walk with our friends Scott & Gwen
It was a foggy morning but still beautiful
Back at the car event, we checked out a real Cobra.  Most of these are kit cars so you don't see a real one very often

Then it was time to head on to our next adventure
We drove along Ocean Drive (so foggy!) then we had breakfast and walked around Newport - Thames St & the Piers
Then we decided to actually go into one of the many mansions we drive by all the time.  We picked Rosecliff
So much detail in every aspect of the home - it was a pleasure to walk through.  It was built by Tessie Fair Oelrichs (and her husband Hermann) in 1899 & cost $2.5 million (wowzer!).  Tessie was born and raised in Virginia City, NV (wow!) and her dad made a fortune from the Comsock silver lode.
Back yard - is now used for many weddings.  It was donated to the Preservation Society in 1971 by the last private owners The Monroes.
After viewing the mansion, we headed home to get munchies and Bolts.  And then we were off to Polo!  We actually arrived in time for a somewhat decent seat -yay!
During the intermission Bolts found a cousin, Charlie!  Such cuties
We also saw some nice cars
The polo match was good, but the USA lost to Ireland

Time for the sweaty hand slap :)
And then more playing for Bolts on the field.  We were hoping to get some ice cream on the way home but it started to rain.
Sunday was sunny & beautiful so after our workout, we went for a sail
There were a lot of sailboats out and about and we all got stuck together when the wind died

Eventually we had to start the motor because we had dinner plans to get to!
It was a great weekend and so glad Claire was able to visit!   Can't wait to do it again!
