Lisbon Day #3

Another work day for Chris, so I took another bus tour.  It started in the old section of town, but we then took the route to the modern part of town.  Up above is the bull fighting ring.  They still have them, but now they don't kill the bull :)

Entering the modern area.  Many of the buildings were built for the 1998 Worlds Fair

The Oceanarium is in this part of town, so I took a tour.  This massive aquarium contained thousands of species of fish - including sharks and these funky bone fish.  It looks like a turtle swimming sideways, but it's not.

 Sea otters :)

This is the outside of the Oceanarium
This part of town is more easterly and is still on the Tagus river (musical arena in the pic below - on the right)
 Vasco da Gama bridge

 Vasco da Gama tower
I walked around this area - then took a tram back - nice views from up high.
 Train station
A lot of museums and theaters in this area as well
The city has a lot of dimensions - pretty fun to explore them all!
