BVI Trip - Day 1

British Virgin Islands here we come!!

Ok, well, we landed in the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas).  It was a party at the airport - music, dancers... 

we took a very crowded taxi van to the ferry terminal & met our fellow yacht clubbers.  We were chartering a boat to sail around the islands!    We were booked on an earlier ferry (that would take us from St Thomas (US) to Tortola (British), so we only saw our friends for 2 minutes.  Not even long enough for a beer!

we landed in Roadtown Tortola - just before 4 pm

We were done with traveling & the taxi hustlers (arrived at airport at 5 am), so instead of another taxi, we walked the mile to our hotel.  We had a beautiful room with perfect views.  Fort Burt Hotel

we found a pub across the street, so we had dinner and drinks while we waited for our friends

They arrived a couple hours later.  Our adventure was beginning!!
