World Series 2013 - Game 1!!!

Chris surprised me with tickets to the 1st game of the World Series!!  Go Red Sox!!

 Fenway Park is awesome (Wrigley is still #1 in my book though)

 Yay!  We're at the World Freakin' Series!

 We went with our friends, Mark & Susan

 There was a lot of activity on Yawkey Way - lots of people, bands, food...

 It was just electric inside.  So different than a regular season game.  The energy was amazing!

 I wore a lot of layers, so I never got cold!  I didn't even put gloves on until 10:30 pm!

 And I ran into my AFC friends - Peter & Mike!  How cool is that?!  They were sitting a few rows behind us.

 The Red Sox dominated the game!  They scored early, so the crowd was stoked!

 Red Sox won!!  8-1 was the final score.

 Yay - go Sox!

 Walked back to the 'T' with a lot of people!

 Such a great evening!  One we'll never forget!

More Martha's Vineyard

Sunday was another beautiful day on the Vineyard, but very windy

 We kept it low key - nice breakfast & some nice walks

 We did make a longer walking trek to Vineyard Haven (3 miles from Oak Bluffs).

 There was a rockin' band playing in Oak Bluffs harbor.  They set up on the front of a boat.  They were really good.

 Up early on Monday - ready to sail home!

 It was a much better day to sail home.  Seas were better - 1-2 feet (Friday had seas of 3-5 feet & some 7's - wowzer)

 Back to Portsmouth!

Sailing to Martha's Vineyard!

 We wanted to get back to the Vineyard, and found a great weekend to do it - in late October!

 Bolts came with us on this trip & did great!!  The seas were pretty big on Friday, when we sailed.  But we made good time!!

 Went to bed early on Friday!!  We stayed in the Oak Bluffs marina.  They were already closed for the season, but electricity & water were still on - yay!

We rented a Jeep on Saturday, so we could see more of the island.  We wanted to rent bikes, but we didn't want to leave Bolts.  Some fall festivals were happening.  Beautiful day - mid 60's.

 Then we stopped at Menemsha on the way back to town

 It's a tiny tiny harbor town

 Made a pit stop at Alley's General Store!

 Then on to our favorite beach - Lamberts Cove!!

 Bolts loved being on the beach & went a little nuts

 He ran & ran & ran

 We finally got Bolts off the beach & made a final pit stop in Vineyard Haven

 Then we headed back to Oak Bluffs & our sailboat!  Bolts was pooped!!
