Newport Sailboats - big boat regatta

90 feet plus!  Those are the sizes of the sailboats visiting Newport for a regatta.  We were going to miss the racing/regatta, so we headed to Newport on a Thurs night to check out the competition.

 

Most of the sailboats were on moorings, so we couldn't see them up close.  But there were still a few on the docks at the Newport Ship yard that we could see

 

 We went with our friend Bob

 This was a monster - we had to go to Goat Island to get the full effect - almost 250 feet long!
