Sailboat race - win!

While Chris was sailing across the Atlantic, our Wed crew still raced!

 

 We've had good wind this  year - usually it dies at 6 pm, but it's been nice & steady.  We even had to reef the main this Wednesday!

 Eric has been sailing since he was a toddler, so he took Chris' place at the helm

 It was another close race, but most of the other boats didn't reef and were overpowered

 So we blew the competition away!   We even beat a lot of the sailboats from the spinnaker class (they usually race a different course that is much longer - but they usually still finish early)

 1st place in our class!
