BBWWT Day #10 Mesa Verde National Park

Arrived at our campground & then headed shortly up to Mesa Verde National Park

Beautiful views!

on the mesa - they have the cliff dwellings!

It's hard to see them - (photos never do anything justice) - but these dwellings are Kool!

There are numerous dwellings all over the mesa.  They are off cliffs - crazy how they lived!  A couple ranchers in the late 1800's found these dwellings.  Most are from 1200 - 1300 AD

and some remaining pithouses are from even earlier times

There are quite a few cliff dwellings in the below photo - but they are hard to see

We had to be out of the park by sunset.  It was a beautiful drive out

 That was one fun filled day!!
